The Movie Psycho - New 2-DVD Edition

The movie Psycho is undoubtedly the most moving of the director Alfred Hitchcock's iconic career.

This is a graphic slasher film, released in 1960, in which a character is killed in the first act of man, a woman could be dead long live and a brutal serial killer is lurking. The production is favored in hard black and white, with lots of dark shadows, instead of shooting luxury Technicolor at the time.

Did I mention that I still onlyWatch the infamous "shower scene" with its chilling music screaming from behind the safety of my cupped hand?

Janet Leigh, Anthony Perkins, Martin Balsam, Vera Miles, John Gavin, are among the protagonists of the film that constantly wrong foots the audience with some really nasty surprises!

Leigh plays Marion Crane brokerage assistant who steals $ 40,000 from his boss in Phoenix and heads to California to pay for her boyfriend (John Gavin) of debt, so they marry.Along the way you get into a rain shower and remains isolated on the Bates Motel, where the lonely Norman Bates runs the business and takes care of his domineering, the mother lost invalid.

If you have not seen it I'm not going to ruin your "fun" to reveal more, saying it's a perfect movie if you are planning a Halloween party for adults.

And the film has never been better than in Universal sparkling new two-edition DVD, with a wealth of additionalCharacteristics.

Some of the documentaries - like the 90-minute Making of Psycho - were on the single DVD edition of the film, but there are many things that I havn't seen in the Master Shadow: Hitchcock's Legacy, a fascinating look at Hitchcock's influence on contemporary filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese.
