The speech of the King's Review - My review of the film The King's speech
If you want an honest discourse re view that you just found one. I must admit, a disappointment after all the hype, although it is gratifying that so many people find this piece is so dependent on the brain and character, not meaningless spectacle-so satisfying. My problem was, saw this as a great cinematic experience as a film as opposed to a TV.
The static nature of some of the scenes in the control room set and the limited Geoffrey RushQuantity of the main characters betrays the origin of this work as a stage where even a little real 'cinema. This lack of action on the screen makes the film drag in places, though usually by the bravura performance out of the cover.
The script is not as good as many would have us believe, and a series of improbabilities and historical errors. Churchill, for example, almost tore his career alongside the former king is depicted withAmazon.de. Some important historical events are the best in deep shade otherwise stated. It is also doubtful as usual would be Geoffrey Rush and its king in 1930 in England, with its rigid class system.
The performances are fantastic, however, accurate and dazzling with Helena Bonham Carter and Colin Firth hits just the right tone. The finale, with the King delivered his inspirational eve of the war is really shaking. I felt my spine tingle and tearsup.
As a metaphor for the conquest of his life, the obstacles to belief, this is hard to find fault, even though their general slowness and lack of interesting settings will never be everybody's taste.
